What are my personal drives
What are my hobbies and interests.
I consider myself fortunate in that I love my job. From a very early age I’ve been driven by a keen interest in technology. In the early days of my career, like many, I was focused on knowing more and specialisations. I enjoyed delving into new technologies and using them to solve problems. As time went on I wanted to do more at a higher level as so delved into quality improvements. This by natural growth led me into management. I’ve found that I can keep my love of technology and mix it with a new found joy of developing teams and people to achieve business and personal goals. Seeing individuals progress their careers and knowing I had a hand in helping is a great feeling and fills me with pride.
Of course work is not all that I’m about so here are a few of my personal interests.

I’m a sucker for anything new in the world of tech. I love new gadgets, games, computers, equipment. My friends and family fully accept this into their lives and indeed I’ve raised a large family of nerds to continue into the future. I’ll happily while away the hours trying out something new.

Lottie Power
My wife and I welcomed Lottie into our lives in October 2022. We’ve always had a dog in our family and I get a lot of joy out of walking and playing with little Lottie. Indeed I seem to have more pictures of Lottie than I do my own children.
Music the ultimate language
Saxophone
I love to sit back and spend some time playing through a few tunes on my saxophone. I can play clarinet, flute, and oboe too but saxophone is my love. It’s what I started learning on as a child and it’s what I keep coming back to. I play regularly and like to record multitrack sessions to build up songs on my Mac. Picture here is of my Yamaha YDS150 digital sax. I love the flexibility it gives me.
Broaden horizons
Travel
I enjoy travel. Abroad or in the UK. I love new experiences and cultures. I’ve been very fortunate in my life visiting many places for work and as such have spent time in many different cultures. I count myself lucky to have so many friends in so many countries.
